I just downloaded and installed mandrake 10.0. This is the first time I've used Linux, and I was able to get most of my hardware configured okay. This only issue I seemed to run into is that when I try to open the games that came with the distro, Tuxracing and such, nothing happens. Ive tried right clicking, double clicking, and yelling and clicking and nothing happens. Any ideas?
1st : I'm not a native english. I only try to be understandable.
2nd : I don't know what is the problem. I will try to help you in this only if you do also.

- Tux Racer is a 3D game (that need accelerated graphics). So you need to install the nVidia(TM) official drivers (this only if you got an nVidia(TM) graphic card. If your card is from another manufacturer, try to find the official drivers, if they exist, and may be check if your card is a 3D accelerated one).
PS: When you seems to have troubles with some utilities, games, or softwares, just launch it with your favorite Terminal (the console, like Konsole (in KDE) and gnome-terminal (in Gnome))
so you can check the output and see more often what's wrong. Or, if you are unlucky, see nothing and get the hell to discover what bugs.
Im using a Nvidia 5200 128 bit 3D graphic card, I did not install the drivers, I just used the default configuration. I'll try installing the drivers and see what happens, thanks for your help.
I'm running mandrake 10 with an NVIDIA graphics card also, I downloaded the official drivers, logged in as root without starting X as the directions suggested, but then got an error saying that it couldn't find the kernel source code to build a kernel interface. Did you have this same problem or did it install ok for you?

The Kernel source you need is on the Mandrake CD. Search for kernel in rpmdrake. (Install software).
