Just got wine, need some pointers

I just put Ubuntu on this machine, and installed wine with it. I can't make any sense out of the documentation~! Are there any tutorials out there that are somewhat simplified? All I am wanting to do with it is try to load the windoze game "Age of Empires" . Wine is there, but I can't figure out what to do with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just (needing a bottle of wine for this one) bill

If you haven't tried that and gave you any error msg then the most usual way to run something with wine you just go to the dir of the windows .exe and

wine game.exe

but for games I would really suggest you (if wine doesn't work) to try cedega.
