I found one question about this, but it was about running Jedi Academy with Wine. I, however, run the native Linux-binary.
The game keeps asking the Disc1, even with the original CD1 mounted to the place where it searches for it (/mnt/cdrom1). What's wrong with this? I only need the JAMP (multi-player) working, I don't need single player at all.
Would be great to get this game working under Linux, since it's been the only reason to boot to Windows anymore. And the game does have native Linux-binaries, so it feels stupid to be forced to use Windows sometimes because of this.
P.S. Jedi Outcast isn't working with Radeon-cards on Linux, I suppose (read this somewhere)? It keeps saying "VM_Create on UI failed", no matter what I do and does not start. Again, using the native Linux-binaries for that too.

From the Loki's site on SourceForge.Net, which now has been closed. However, I later noticed that the binaries are actually running the game with the help of Wine. So I can as well use Wine to run it and it works just fine.
Distribution: K/Ubuntu 18.04-14.04, Scientific Linux 6.3-6.4, Android-x86, Pretty much all distros at one point...

There are no native Linux binaries for Jedi Academy. There may be a Loki installer for it,... to help get around installation issues,... but there are no native binaries. there never have been. Only the source for the game's primary engine,... the Quake 3 engine,... have been ported. Some games based on it have been ported as well (Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Medal of Honor Allied Assualt [beta], Devastation [beta], and a small handful of others).
Cedega is the best bet for running Jedi Academy. Transgaming is a license holder for some of the disk protection schemes that prevent certain games from running in Linux through wine/winex/Cedega. At last report, Jedi Academy has been running without issue since WineX 3.1...
Go get your copy of Cedega and Point2Play .. Point2Play makes installing Windows game EASY on Linux.
www.transgaming.com its $15 to start, you get the latest software, updates and support for 3 months and you can decide what Transgaming should work on first in their next update. After your 3 months is up its $5 a month after that. Thats only if you want to keep gettings updates and support! If you don't need support or anymore updates you can cancel. But its only $5/mo its well worth supporting.
Oh don't be fooled by CVS versions....thats not the current release! People have a lot of problems with the CVS version.
