Is there a Linux demo for Neverwinter Nights?

I have a good enough video card. It looks really cool. I know it works well on Linux. I just want to know if it's going to be entertaining before I spend money on it and buy it. Is there a Linux demo around?

I would check the Bioware website first. Do a google search on Neverwinter Nights or Bioware and I'm sure you'll stumble upon it.

That's the thing. I've looked and looked and looked and only found one for Windows... >> Ick. I have Windows 98 on a 2 gig drive and it's for SonicStage (my proprietary Sony MP3 player needs it). I have 500 megs free in Win98 and the install file for the Windows demo itself is 300 megs... >>

So I basically need a Linux version... >>

I just installed the demo on my 2GB drive that has Windows 98. I had to clear some space first... >>

But it's a good game and I think I'll get it.

You shouldn't need to run it under WINE. You don't have to buy the specific Linux version in order to play on Linux... You just have to download the linux installer to use with you "Windows" disk.

The required installer can be found here:

If you have any trouble the forums there are pretty good too.
