Since it says pre-release on all the sites I see. Maybe you should actually wait till it comes out so you see how many versions there are? A trip to the store would answer it then.

Better yet... there's this thing.. called.. A Telephone? Heard of it? And this thing.. called.. 1800-There Tech Support Number?
ASK THEM.
They also have an email address.

that a little cynical of you... anyhoo, the best way to do it would to buy it off of a place that sells linux games only, like:
http://tuxgames.com
then it goes down as a linux sale.

Actually Ryan C. Gordon (you know, the one who ported the game?) said that it counts as a Linux sale the moment you install the game and go to the anuncements page of the Multiplayer section (so your OS gets recorded in the Master Server) :D

on UT2003 the linux installer was on the 3rd CD.
Wouldn't be surprised if UT2004 is similar in that regard

cheers

yanik 03-17-2004 12:07 PM

it's on CD1 this time

mmurch01 03-17-2004 12:17 PM

There is another thread that is insanely similar to this one.

The installer is on CD1.

The multiplayer server detects your os.

Why would the manufacturer want to spend money on two seperate packages, one for Win and one for Linux when they could put it on the same CD like the last one?

This thread is done.
