[SOLVED] Invisible-road problem playing Nitronic Rush with Wine on Ubuntu 12.04

Hi,

I am using Wine 1.6 on Ubuntu 12.04 32 bit. I installed DirectX using Winetricks (d3dx9). I am facing problems running Nitronic Rush (https://nitronic-rush.com/)

It's simply that I cannot see the roads, except when I smash the car straight into a wall. It's all blank otherwise and seems like the car is flying. The wheels are invisible as well. See this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Kiq4r0oAqU

The sound works fine by the way, I recorded without sound for small file size.

So any idea how it can be fixed?

I would suggest upgrading wine to the lastest release and seeing if this helps.

AWESOME! I never thought an unstable beta version of wine would fix this! But seems like upgrading to 1.7 beta did the trick.
