Hello and Welcome to LinuxQuestions,

Can you indicate what you don't understand or on which part you're having problems? I Googled a bit and found these two step by step installation guides. In my opinion they are pretty straightforward and easy to understand, but if there's a part that you don't quite get, then I'm sure someone here can clarify your doubts.

These are the two I found:
Install and setup Ventrilio
Setup Ventrilio

Kind regards,

Eric

There is no "client" software for Linux, only Windows and MAC. I haven't tried the Windows client version in Wine so I can't say whether or not it would work.

Also after reading around on Mangler's page for a bit, if you don't "have" to use Vent, try out mumble. It's in the repos and has a server and client for Windows, MAC and Linux.
