Installing pygame in red hat linux

Hi,i just learn that python can be use to write game using pygame. But i have problem installing it on red hat linux.Can anyone tell me how to install pygame? Thanks

Maybe by downloading it from their website?? Do they have instructions there.

If you have already tried it, then tell us what the problem was.....

Redhat EL 5.x : "pygame" is in the rpmforge.repo .
# yum install python-game
.. the version is 1.8.1 ...

.. version 1.9.1 cannot be build on Redhat EL 5.x, AFAIK.

> > 1) tar xvf pygame-1.8.1release.tar.gz
2) cd pygame-1.8.1release
3) su
4) yum install \
smpeg-devel SDL_ttf-devel SDL_image-devel SDL_mixer-devel \
libpng-devel libjpeg-devel python-devel
( smpeg-devel is in the rpmfusion-free-updates-testing repo.)
5) python setup.py install
.....
