Installing games

Ok lads, how doin?

Rather than hunt through here for days trying to find who asked, and when, I will ask here, in my own thread..(I know how you guys must love repeated questions

How do I install, for instance, unreal tournament, onto xandros desktop 2.0.?

Don't be afraid to go a little in depth if you have to, I am only a noob as far as linux goes. Done my time on the Windows systems, now I want a little fun out of my puting.

Thanks guys!!

The linux installer is on the third disk (at least it is for 2003, not sure about 2004). You're going to want to copy that file to a temporary location on your hard disk and then run it. You're going to have to mount and unmount the cd drive after each disk is done doing the install.

And for ut 1?

I have decided to start with the easy stuff first...So I got the 436 patch and installer for unreal tournament 1...Q: How do I mount the cd drive(duh)before I run the installer....I can do that bit

this is the installinstructions, are they right?

Before starting the installation process with "sh"
you must have your Unreal Tournament CDROM in your CDROM drive and have
it mounted.

For example:

$mount /cdrom -how?

getting there, it's not so scary
