izquierdista,
The chip you have is manufactured by Sis. They do not have 3D drivers available for Linux and I checked the Linux project at dri.freedesktop.org and they do not have support for you your chip (they're the ones who had support for my laptop's video card). So, in short, you're screwed for 3D games with that video card. You have three options,
1. Only play 2D games until 2 years from now when someone finally gives 3D support for your card.
2. Dual boot your computer with Windows... Windows = games, Linux = everything else.
3. Buy a video card, Nvidia is a much a better idea in Linux. A Geforce FX5200 video card can be found at newegg.com for about 50 bucks, and it will probably play anything that Linux can play (most new games take awhile before they are supported by Wine or Cedega). Geforce 4 MX440 can be bought for less and will have enough power for most games and will be able to do most emulation stuff as well.
