Havin a lan party, but need more variety of games. Im all ears!

On friday (July 9th) Im having my frist OFFICIAL lan party, but I dont have a variety of games for the ppl to select from, realy all of the games are FPS's, except Warcraft 3, and NetPanzer. I know they'll get bored QUIKE! So I would like some game suggestions, and fast, so I can try games out, and also burn them to a disk, so my guests can play them too. Im kinda full of FPS's, so I would like some RTS's, some fun Arcade stuff, and so on (u get the point) and nothing cheezy, I want to impress them. Second, THER GOING TO USE WINDOWS! WINDOWS! So i need GAMES that are free, and support WINDOWS as well as linux. THANX!

So far, I've got these games.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FPS____________________RTS_____________________OTHER
Counter-Strike____________WarCraft3 TFT + RC________The blankness of this section
Enemy Territory___________NetPanzer (just tried it_______speaks for itself... :[
Doom (eheh)_____________ROCKS!)
Cube
Battlefield 1942
DoD

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Any game suggestions, would be nice. And if they can be some sort of static binary, instead of source (for linux) that would be a hella lot better, because Mandrake 10 doesnt seem to be good for any source that I try to configure. (build enviroment is never SANE, so ya... if u gota fix to that, I would love to hear)

Unreal Tournament! (All three are native to both linux and windows, in my humble opinion the original was the best)

bzflag - That's quite a nice little party game - it can be very fun if you have a lot of people or are playing online through a router

"Other"...hmm...I don't know really what would "impress" them if it isn't an FPS or an RTS ?

Any other suggestions guys?

Steve

Andromeda 9 is good (though I think I spelled it wrong )

Just head over to www.happypenguin.org and look through their list of games. If you like bloody 2D multiplayer shootem uppers then try XEvil or RedPixel

Quake 3 is Linux or Windows and its fun, Heretic 2 is windows linux and it rocks. Solder of Fortune 1 is windows and linux and it has ok multiplayer.

Thats all I can think of besides Unreal Tournament(s), but that was already mentioned here.

Well... There is Tuxracer also.

It's not a LAN game, but I suggest trying out Deadly Rooms of Death. It's freeware for both Windows and Linux. For a "multiplayer" experience, you and your friends can race to see who can finish a level the quickest. That adds a different spin to what's otherwise a completely turn based game.

how long is is Lan party gona last? cause that looks like a fair amount of games, and unless your pulling a REALLY long lan party, I doubt that you'd even be able to play all of what you have listed, you could get quake and have everybody install tenebre (search SF for it) thats a engine mod that adds dynamic lights as well as a number of other cool features. or wait a month and play Doom3 at your party!

The LAN party is going to last for about 2 to 3 days. Maybe more if they decide to stay longer. Like I said before (not being mean tho) I alrady have a good amount of FPS, but that Soldier Of fortune sounds pretty cool, I seen a few pics of it, and at CompUSA they have it for 9 dollars, so thats a game ima go get right now. More suggestions THANX FOR THE REPLYS!
