Half-Life gaming question

Well I have been told to pick the best forum to post this question in and do it only once, my other 2 got closed because of mulit posting (sorry)

My question is this, half-life will start up in wine and all that good stuff, when I go "Start new game" half-life looks for the cd-rom, and can't find the cd in the drive, thus it will not start. How do I get wine and half-life to find the cd in the cd-rom drive.

My other question is this, why would wine not find my mouse and keyboard in some games... eg: Rainbow Six ?? Game will start up fine but I cant type or click on anything thus not getting back the first window!
