Half-Life

When trying to run half-life in wine I get this error from half-life

"Could not open MCI file for playback: 275: Cannot find the specified file. Make sure the path and filename are correct"

How do I fix this ??

I have also had this, but for me the game still ran. Does it still run for you? Or does it stop running?

no it runs.

How do I get Half-Life to see that the CD is in the CD-ROM ?? Because it looks for the cd-rom to start the game.

edit your wine config file to make sure it's pointing to the right place for cdrom drive, etc. Usually it's ~/.wine/config

Its trying to play the music (sound files) on the cd.

If you can get the game up at all, go into the audio section and uncheck the part about playing cd music.

If you can't get it up, the game that is :-), there should be a setting in your config.cfg file, which will be in one of your folders, depending on what game (valve, tfc, ect) you are playing.
