Grenade lag in Counter-Strike/Steam on WineX 3.3

In Counter-Strike (any version) when a grenade explode in my screen I lag as hell... and I was wondering why? It does the same thing when someone use the flashlight.

Normally I get 50-70 fps but in this situation I drop to 1 or 2 fps and then get back to 50-70. Can you please tell me how to fix that problem?

Thanks

I had a similar problem.

Make sure you have OpenGl support enabled, I know with wine you have to use the enable-opengl flag when you run configure. I also found that changing the sound drivers in the config file can dramatically change not only the sound (in my case it used to lag regardless of _snd_mixahead) but the stability of Wine on the whole.

I would have thought, not sure though, that these settings are present in WineX and Crossover as well as they share about 95% of the coding.

Just as a comparison, I am running:

Duron 1.1Ghz
128Mb SDRAM
Geforce2 64Mb Mx440
Resolution in game - 1154*whatever

I get around 50+ fps constant

I'm running WineX 3.3 installed from an RPM... not sure if it helps... I think openGL is enabled as every of my Windows games work fine... and CS is stable as long as no one throw any grenades. I'm playing CS on linux for now a year and I've always had that problem
