Fate the game installation?

Hi I am a newbie and I have the game Fate and I installed it on my computer but when I click on the icon it says "Application error game will now exit". I do not know why this is happening. Please help me I really love this game and I can not play it now. Thanks

i put in the cd and did the installation process that it guided me through.

You may have to install it through Wine or the play linux some programs wont run unless they have a windows shell

What is Wine? I think I have a windows shell, since I can also use Windows.

It is a windows emulator design to help you install and run windows programs and if that doesn't work you can use play linux along with wine and this should slove all of your problems

Yeah and if you are using ubuntu than you can install it through add and remove programs all other version you would have to download and install
