DOSBOX Problems. Could someone please assist me?
 

Hello. I recently installed DOSBOX and tried playing Ultima IV on it, but the controls didn't seem to work correctly (or at all sometimes), and the sound was cracking. Is there any way I can fix this? Oh yeah. I'm also running Ubuntu 9.04.

lol too funny, i am just finishing up Ultima V that i started over the weekend :-)

The crackeling is the sound blaster emulating the old PC speaker, yes these games are that old...
you can adjust the CPU speed CTRL+F11/F12 slowing it down will help you hear sounds rather than buzzing.

Also turn Frame skip off CTRL+F7 that will help too.

If all else fails then can you post your home/username/.dosbox/default.conf (or something .conf) file here?
