DOOM 3 High-Definition textures Under Linux

Ive installed Doom 3 under Ubuntu and was just wondering if there was a way to install those hi-def texture packs in the linux version, you know assuming theres more to it than simply copying the .pak files into the respective directories.
I know Doom 3 will work fine under WINE but it seems a shame to use an emulator er...I mean compatibility layer to run something that works natively.
Help would be appreciated

Um, well if it's a .pk4 then you just copy it in, it's that easy.

You mean this one:

You may also want to check the .cfg, it might need some extra options such as:
seta image_ignoreHighQuality "0"
