Doing a nice CVS co of WineX

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody knew a trick that I could use to do a cvs checkout of WineX that is actually stable. I assume the -D option can be used to accomplish this, but I'm unaware of a good date to pick.

Thanks,
William

Cool, thanks.

I knew about GetCVSWineX, and obviously that didn't work for me. The other "Get" scripts obviously have a better chance of working. I'm guessing that I can modify the 3.1 script very easily to get the 3.3.2 version?

These scripts are out of date. The CVS repository is no longer on SourceForge. I've tried modifying them to work the transgaming.org repository, but to no avail. Does anybody know where the updated scripts can be found?

OK, I think that TransGaming finally got smart and killed these scripts. I figured out the CVS checkout, but look at this:

[root@localhost temp]# cvs -z3 -d:pserver:cvs@cvs.transgaming.org:/cvsroot co -r winex-3-3-2 winex
cvs server: warning: cannot open /cvsroot/CVSROOT/val-tags read/write: Permission denied
cvs server: warning: cannot write to history file /cvsroot/CVSROOT/history: Permission denied[list of winex source files]

That means that we can't check out specific revisions of what is on CVS, we can only check out the latest stuff. So I could modify the scripts to checkout, but it isn't going to checkout the specific versions as intended.

Looks like the only way to do this now is to pay TransGaming.
