I don't know, but you could probably find out by checking The Linux Game List.

# Linux and games
Linux Gamers' FAQ
The Linux Game List
Wine HQ
TransGaming Technologies for winex
The Linux kernel preemption project
Gentoo has a kernel with the gaming patches

Transgaming released WineX 3.2 which supports Max Payne 2. Knowing that i believe some of those games will run. Speed and stability is unknown

i have tried winex 3.0 stable CVS, 3.1 CVS and WineHQ CVS, the only apps i've been able to get working properly are Windoze Notepad and Grand Theft Auto 1.
GTA3 just says "Grand Theft Auto III requires at least DirectX 8.1" (with winex 3.1 CVS, rebuilt 4 days ago)

Notepad comes with Wine, you can use it to test if Wine works correctly. In fact, that's it's purpose.

ok sry i couldnt find it....
it says....
To convert an existing CVS SourceForge checkout to the new TransGaming.org CVS repository:

Download the cvschroot script from http://www.horae.dti.ne.jp/~gotoh/di...root/cvschroot
sh_cvschroot_-d_<path_to_your_tree>_server:cvs@cvs.transgaming.org:/cvsroot_winex
You should now be able to update CVS as usual

To checkout a new CVS respository:

cvs -dserver:cvs@cvs.transgaming.org:/cvsroot login
When prompted for the password enter "cvs"
cvs -z3 -dserver:cvs@cvs.transgaming.org:/cvsroot co winex
===============================
soi already have winex installed in /home/joe/winex
so what should i do?
if i configured, make, make installed winex in that directory.... did it install somewhere in / or did it install in that folder? can i delete that folder? its like 550 mbs

I haven't used it, so you know as much as I do about it. All I can do is keep pointing you back to the TransGaming Technologies for winex page.

Installation FAQ
and to answer your next question "How do I run it?":
General FAQ

Once you compile and install something correctly, the source code folders can be removed.
