directory problem with steam and cedega's 'c_drive'

I installed Cedega 5.0.3 on FC4. I can install Steam, but any time I try to run it it says "cannot change directory to /home/user/.cedega/c_drive/Dot Transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Steam/" How can I get rid of this error so that I can actually run Steam?

I don't think it is a cedega problem, can you accesss that directory yourself?

I can reach the directory easily. All the parent directories have 755 permissions as well as the Steam folder that it's trying to reach.

Something I noticed is that there's a symbolic link in my home directory: "TransGaming_Drive -> /home/strabo/.cedega/Half Life 2/c_drive". There's no Half Life 2 directory under .cedega. However, if the symbolic link was being used to start Steam, wouldn't the error state that it's the directory listed in the symbolic link (with the Half Life 2 directory) instead of listing the actual directory containing Steam.exe?

May be defenestrator.
The path to the game on my PC is /home/user/.cedega/Gamename/c_drive
But your error message say it is /home/user/.cedega/c_drive/Gamename.
May you try resintall that game

I tried to reinstall it tonight, two different ways. I have both the downloaded version from www.steampowered.com and the version on the Half Life 2 retail CD. The downloaded version throws the same error, and with the CD version I can't get past the EULA screen (both options to accept or reject the EULA are grayed out).

I found an answer once I discovered the Transgaming forums. Apparently you need to install an icon to play, or use an older version of Steam. I can't test it atm, Cedega somehow broke and won't install anything, but it gives me hope at least.
