Diablo II with cedega: no valid IP address detected

I can't currently play Diablo II multiplayer, it runs fine, but when I click on the multiplayer screen, it displays an error that it doesn't detect a valid ip address. I had multiplayer running fine over an ethernet network using static ips and a switch. But I've switched to connecting thru a wireless router using dhcp. Any suggestions? what additional information would be useful?
I'm running Slackware 10.1, with the latest version of cedega and point2play, and the patched version of diablo II (v. 1.10).

okay fixed it,
I had to add the router and computers on my network to /etc/hosts
Code:

192.168.2.4          linux-box
192.168.2.3          windowz-box1
192.168.2.2          windowz-box2
192.168.2.1          router
