Desura client installer fails to install

Hallo.

I am running Kubuntu 12.04

I downloaded the package desura-x86_64.tar.gz from the official site

Then I followed the tutorial

What I get is the following error message

./desura: riga 20: /home/zeus/desura/lib/desura: impossibile eseguire il file binario

that means , in English "line 20: /home/zeus/desura/lib/desura: impossible to run binary file"

I tried also this other tutorial

but when I type
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:makson96/desurium-stable

I get the error message

Cannot access PPA (https://launchpad.net/api/1.0/~makso...esurium-stable) to get PPA information, please check your internet connection.

But myinternet connection is of course good, I am writing the post in real time...

Any suggestion?

After adding ppa:makson96/desurium I get this blurb:

Bad Juju the new owner of Desura has filed for bankruptcy. This means that this repository is no longer maintained.

The latest source from the project can be obtained from:
https://github.com/desura/desura-app
The old Desurium code:
https://github.com/desura/Desurium
Unfortunately this code is not working for Linux. This repository host the last working snapshot (with few patches) of legacy Desurium.

System versions: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To install Desurium do following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:makson96/desurium
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install desurium

https://launchpad.net/~makson96/+archive/ubuntu/desurium

Looks like it's a dead issue.
