Talking Dedicated Servers of FPS games in Linux

Hey guys...

do you any links to sites that show you how-to set up the dedicated server packages for FPS games such as Call of Duty, SOF II, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, etc?

I know how to set up a HLDS server... does anyo ne else know how to make other dedi servers? If so, please post

Thanks

Most companies distribute packages of dedi linux servers.

Download.
Install.
Read the readme.

If you know how to set up HLDS, then you're pretty much sorted to set up anything else.

Easiest way, is to go and register on a gaming forum or gaming clan forum, and ask for help. Most people will be happy to help you.

The other way is just to search the many websites out there looking for bits of information on what your trying to do. Its a lot of hard work, i used to run game servers for a good long time. You need to know stuff such as what the latest anti cheat software is, all bugs in the server software. Keep up on patches, be in game to demo/catch cheaters. Know what the cheats look like and how they handle in game.

If you dont want to be half assed you'll go out and find the resources on google and register with the dozen or so developer forums for games and anti cheat. Its a long hard pathj, but enjoy it, theres nothing better than booting some guy who is definetly using an aimbot, or giving you abuse.
