Cube, so close to perfect I can taste it but.....

I just installed Cube, the games up and running fine, I've got sound etc etc.

The only thing is that the game is running inside of a little box in the center of my screen. It ran completely full screen under windows so I think my hardware can handle it. Yet, I don't know where to find the settings to change it. I'd appreciate any help that someone familiar with this problem can give me.

P.S. Thanks in advance.

Cube usually runs fullscreen by default for me so I think your problem may be that your xorg.conf doesn't have a 640x480 mode (cube's default mode).

You may be able to solve this by either editing your xorg.conf file or by running cube with ./cube -w1024 -h768 (or with whatever mode your monitor uses). Unless, of course this isn't the problem.

I'm really eager to try fixing the xorg.config, the only problem is that I'm not entirely sure where that is (total newbie). I see a config.cfg in the game's folder- is the xorg. config something like that?

Something like that...

The xorg.conf file is in your /etc/X11/ directory. You will need to find the part that says "Modes" under the part called "Subsection "Display"" and add the line "640x480" at the end of it. Post your xorg.conf if you are unsure.

Out of curiosity, what do the commands glxinfo and glxgears do when run from a console?
