I've just got cs 1.3 to work with wine and cvs winex, with sound, 3d etc. But when I want to play a lan game I can't see any server in lan games list although sometimes multiple games are running. Any suggestions?
yes we all run cs 1.3 and cs 1.6 but I didn't install cs 1.6 because I have very little free space now. Other computers see my game when I host it but only I don't see any game.
Also a cs 1.3 client can detect 1.6 games, only it can't connect to them and I don't see any games at all, I've to enter IPs manually in the 'online game' section
we have 100 PCs in our network and sometimes different games are open, so when you want to see what's currently being played it doesn't work - the list is empty. Even when I host a game other PCs can see it but I myself - not (when I press Esc).
Just do a "connect (ip)" command. All you need is the ip of the host you want to connect to. If it's on LAN, or not, the game will know. You won't lose any performance or anything.
ok, that's not such a problem, somewhy even samba without firewall doesn't work correctly (though I explicitly told it in Yast NOT to protect the computer from internal network)
