Counter Strike CZ under Linux - Wine

hello:

I'm trying to run Counter Strike CZ through Wine, it does load the welcome screen, however, I get the following message:

Code:
this application is requesting an activeX browser object
but the mozilla active X control is currently not installed
do you wish to download and install it?
I click on OK to download what it ask, but the app freezes and exists. I've learned there's a key to be inserted in some "registry" but I dunno what it means... any ideas?

Thanks

Poeta

I am sure Internet Explorer installation on WINE will help you.
This tool will help you to download and install IE6 on WINE:
http://sidenet.ddo.jp/winetips/config.html

I run HL/CS/CZ and HL2 perfectly on Barton2500/RAM256. Even better than Win2k because I can remove a lot of stuff from memory like KDE (unlike of windoze).

thaks a lot for your aswer
I've managed to start CZ however I can't see any String like
"Start multiplayer Server"
"options"

and so on..... maybe it's got to do with the video manager:

OpenGL
Software
D3D

which one should I pick?

I'm curious........ how can I unload X and the re-start it? (newbie)

Thanks!

OpenGL and Software are your best choices.

Also, look here for the unofficial Transgaming Wiki,... Some of the solutions might be applicable to a straight attempt to run it in Wine.

To restart X immediately press CTRL+ALT+BackSpace.

You software selection can be stored in two places: registry files (~/.transgaming/???) or *.cfg files in game directory.
