Copy the the first installation disk to a directory on your Linux system,...
then copy the cab files from the second into the same directory where the one from the first disk resided. Also copy any additional stuff that resides in the root directory of the CD or it's subdirectories in the same place in the directory where you put it.
Run the setup program using:
winex setup.exe
from the directory where you put it.
It SHOULD go through the install at that point...
That's how you get to install Jedi Academy for example...
Well, I made it through the installer on that bad bish!
Problem: When I run the .exe for it, it looks like it's going to work, it validates the CD, and then quits. No error, no kiss my ass, no nothing. It just stops.
Looks like I'll have to find another favorite game...sheeeesh...
Really frustrated, and new to Linux. This is the reason that Linux is not well accepted.

If you are running the CVS version of WineX, then it doesn't contain the proprietary stuff to defeat copy protection. That stuff is licensed by Transgaming. They are not permitted to GPL it.
You game might be one of the ones that isn't working or supported. The fact that you got it installed is not a factor in whether it will run or not under WineX.
I know that this is an older thread, but I thought that I would install Swat 3 using codeweavers crossover office, my install went fine but when I tried to run the game nothing happened,
My opinion is that its directx didnt install, because when I tried to reinstall it, it failed with an error code of 9.
Sorry mate I thought it might have worked with crossover office 3, but at least you can cross that off the list too
