Try Asymptopia BlackJack or X11 Blackjack (which may be on your distro's mirror)
Code:
apt-get install blackjack
rpm i blackjack
emerge blackjack
urpmi blackjack
etc...
28,700 hits on the search term "blackjack game" at http://www.google.com/linux
Good luck

What do you mean? What distro do you use?

EDIT: I see that there's a sourceforge download page for it:http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...group_id=78013

That's source code. If you have your gcc compiler and tools installed, that's pretty easy too. Unpack it, read the README and INSTALL and follow the instructions, usually
Code:
./configure
make
su
make install
and then you simply run the program (sometimes you'll have to create a menu entry for it in KDE or Gnome, but that's pretty easy too.

Don't really know Do you have Python installed properly? BTW, gnome-games, available in "testing" and "unstable" has a blackjack game too.

Perhaps the build you downloaded has these errors. Try a different build ( or search google linux, or perhaps freshmeat for another game)
