Cant install Return to Castel Wolfenstein, is ther another way?

I bought RTCW Platinum Pack, because of 2 reasons... I like the game, and I couldnt find the original package.
Ok so I went to go and install it, i did try it through wine(x) but i couldent get the damn cd out ($ umount /mnt/cdrom, # umount --force /mnt/cdrom, or just try to umount with the RedHat disk manager, or Point2Plays umount ) to get the second cd in! I've tried to copy one cd to the hard drive and when it asked me for the second, I still couldnt get it to read it! Is ther another way to get this game installed!?? I dont have a cd burner so i couldnt install it on my windows box, and send the files to this one. (had a friend burn me the files but it doesn't read the files for some reason?! i can only see it in console doing an ls, but i cant copy it just hangs) ANY THOUGHTS ON HOW TO INSTALL THIS GAME WILL BE OF GREAT HELP! Thanx in advanced.

NOTE: I've tried it on RedHat 9, Fedora, and Im trying it now on Knoppix.

Hi RHLinuxGUY!!!

Don't use WineX for a game that can run natively for Linux. Get the installer here:

http://games.activision.com/games/wolfenstein/

under section downloads >> files. Grab any Linux-full installer. Run the install script. When done, get your RTCW discs and copy all files from the "main" directory to /where you installed RTCW/main.

Then run the game at full speed .

Note: I am assuming that game is the one that come with two disks. If you have the version (the first one) that came with one disk, you cannot copy the files from your disk directly, well, because they are compressed. You need to install wine (any will do), install the game, copy the files from /.wine/fake_c/whatever to /usr/local/games/whatever/rtcw/main

Good luck!

PS: a more detailed install is described here:

Ya thats what I was trying to do, but since I got the Platinum pack (2 cds) im not to sure if its a GOTY or something, I have not been able to install it via wine or winex to get the mp_pak3. whatever files. So can someone send me the files through aim or something that would be of real help! thanx
