If I remember correctly, I had to install glib-1.2.10-23 for the ut installer to run.
Note the linux ut install script sorta lies about the disc that is needed if you get that far.
You may have to unmount cd1 and mount cd2 when it prompts for the next disk from another terminal
window.
As bhert mentions, it will also run fine with wine. Just copied my windows UT install over and wine
ran it fine without even running the setup. Just had to select the D3D render device and change a
couple of keybinds and it runs almost as good as the native linux install with openGL.
