Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

View Poll Results: Do you want world of warcraft to have a linux client
I see that this has been posted before what is different is that I have opened up a support thread with world of Warcraft and I am making a list of players who use Linux and play world of Warcraft. I am hitting as many forums as I can including If you would like to show your support copy and paste http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/1922569887#1 into your browser log in and reply to the thread as number 2 or 3.etc. Anyway The goal is to make World Of Warcraft see how many of us their are. So feel free to show your support

Seems like they don't want to make a linux version

Your petition/request does not belong in Tech Support. I'd really try General (if anything to be honest). However, Blizzard's not going make a Linux version simply because they'd have to release it in every single language, which would make their lives even harder come patch days.If you're having issues with Wine, try the Wine forums, or try Wowpedia's pages on Wine.http://www.wowpedia.org/World_of_War....org/Wine/Misc
Anything to increase the footprint of Linux gaming is a positive in my humble opinion. This won't be the first petition they've received though. Unfortunately they seem pretty adverse to the idea.
It would be cool, but I don't know how they'd go about doing it, since there are different distros with different libraries, dependencies, etc. I guess we've got the best of both worlds, since while WINE isn't officially supported, it runs really well. I think in the beginning there were people at Blizzard helping the WINE people? It wouldn't surprise me if it were true.
And I've heard that there are people at Blizzard who play using linux. I believe there was a blue post not so long ago on the forums about it.

While I don't play WoW, and am not likely to anytime in the near future, I voted "yes" because there should be Linux versions of anything that is popular. Actually, there should be Linux versions of everything, but that might be a tad unrealistic.
