call of duty errors


hasta guys

i ve installed call of duty and wine. when i try to run codsp it gets me this error:
Code:
couldn't load default.cfg.  make sure Call of duty is run from the correct folder.
i try to run also codmp. but this is...
Code:
280 sound file(s) are  missing or in a bad format
both codsp and codmp after error open consolle. please help me i m in a trouble for it!!!!

try changing the way you run it, eg:

wine "c:\program files\call of duty\codsp.exe"

OR

cd "~/.wine/dosdevices/c:/program files/call of duty"
wine codsp

IE try playing with the directories. Some apps assume they are run from Explorer and won't work when run from the command line (even in Windows)

i cant i ve installed it using loki installer. but is a wrong method so i decided to install it by wine. the preoblem is that i do wine setup on the cd folder when it finishes to install by first cd asks for the second. i try to umount and eject the first, but it doesn't eject saying something like stupid volume...how can i unmount it?

Make sure that you run the command like this:

Example: wine /mnt/cdrom/setup.exe

Then you should be able to unmount it.

Hope that helps with installer problem.

i solved the problem. anyway...can i run cod with wine or i need cedega?

error in the multiplayer

i got everytime i use all seeing eye and i want to log in a server i get an eroor called

cd key in use. try to connect later


how can i get rid of that?
