BloodRayne and Bloodlines on Linux?

Hi,

The only thing I miss about windows is not being able to play BloodRayne, BloodRayne 2 and Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines. I tried all sorts of ways using wine but couldn't make a go of it. Is anyone else here a fan of BloodRayne or Vampire Masquerade and was able to get it to run on Linux? Any help will be greately appreciated.

I'm running Xubuntu 7.10.

Hi. Not all windows games will work on linux. That is why I use a dual boot so I can switch to windows for games. I could not get Bloodrayne to work for linux either. I do have some windows games in linux but not a lot. It's a hit and miss. if you look for Bloodrayne and others in wine's application database at http://www.winehq.org/ you will find that the game is a hit and miss for some gamers. The site might give you answers to get the game to run in linux. if not, use a dual boot as a last resort.

I've tried both BloodRayne and Vampire the Masquerade, which I purchased through Steam, to run with wine. Neither worked, although other Steam games actually work fine. I am kinda surprised that Vampire does not work, since it basically runs in the HL2 engine, but not surprised at all that BloodRayne didn't
