Unhappy armyops -- kills net connection

hi everyone,

i just downloaded and installed the latest america's army (AA:SF 2.1)
and it works great (!) except for when i disconnect from a server, it kills
my network connection and i have to reset my DSL modem, and
restart the computer.

once i quit i cant connect to any machines via firefox,
ping, traceroute, evolution; no networked program works.

i havent been able to find anyone else with this bug but if someone could
share some wisdom it would be greatly appreciated.

My System:
network: connect via DHCP
distro: ubuntu 4.10 warty
kernel: 2.6.8.1 (its hacked but i didnt touch network code)

in case anyone else has this problem:

the fastest way to fix it is to reset your modem,
then deactivate, reactivate your eth0 in network-admin
