Anyone play Tactical Ops? A small question on optimizing.

A multipart question.

I play Tactical Ops (A UT mod gone retail by atari) in windows alot, the game runs great on my Sapphire 9800Pro 256MB bios modded into a 9800XT(it's a 9800XT with the 9800 Pro bios).

I notice in linux, some of the textures are at times are glitchy, Now i use OpenGL in Windows, don't like D3D that much. Is there anyways I can fix this?? And is there anyway I can optimize the game to get better frame rates (like 100+ isn't good enough)/ smoother game play.

and I have a SBLIVE! Soundcard nd the sound in the game is choppy, I try to enable Hardware Acceleration, and thats a no go, the option just goes back to no.

THis game is based of the unreal engine, so I would think anyone playing UT/UT200X would know a few things..

thanks.
