something simple would be best as i've only got dialup
but are there any good games out there floating around.
i'd prefer strategy, but RPG or a bit of action is fine!
try wolfenstein enemy territory . or linlegends, The best linux Games site in my opinion where you can also get the previously mentioned, Happypenguin.org

He said he uses dial-up. I don't think he's going to download a 260 MB file on his modem.
i'll deal with 260mb as long as i can continue downloads after i get d/c.. i've just handed in my last uni assignment and need something to pass the time until exams!
didn't the source get leaked?? someone on here was playing with it and had it compiling in *nix. just need to reroute directx modules i think he was saying... will be very interesting if it gets released before HL2 winblows version
Probably Valve is going to make a server port for HL2 and neglect to make a client, just like they have done with every other Valve product before. So the Linux community, which is a hungry market and full of very potential customers, will remain an untapped resource for Valve.
