americas army runs only in root

hello, i have a little problem:
americas army runs punkbuster only in root. in user, everything works, but it won't let me click the enable punkbuster thing. that only works in root. Also, the menus are really hard to read, as opposed to windows, where they are easy to read. does anyone else have these problems?
thx

You might want to try using sudo to run AA and you can try changing system font that should help with the readability of AA

hmmm sudo and su work, but my consern is weither running an online game as root is a smart thing to do.
and i can't seem to change the font. i can get the gnome fonts to change, but not the fonts in the game to.
thanks for the help so far.

well no it's not smart to run an online game as root, but using sudo, you arnt really running it as root, sudo, is also a play on words like pseudo, or fake.

sudo is complaining about the sudoers file not being set correctly. I found the file but how do i edit it? well not how to edit it but what to edit into it. I'm not particularly concerned with someone getting access to my system. I would like to set it so my sole user can access anything through sudo.

OMG

SUDO *IS* logging in as root.. SUDO isn't PSEUDO, its "SUPER USER DO", and running anything under SUDO is running it AS ROOT.
