America's Army General Sound Problem

Hi there,

Well I only really play one game, America's Army. I recently switched over to linux and am quite pleased with my results so far. I've tried Mandrake 10.1, Fedora Core 3 and now I'm sticking to Xandros 2.5 Deluxe for a bit.

Anyway, my problem is that when in the game the sound works, but it's not directional at all. What I mean is that I can't tell the difference between footsteps (or any sound) infront of me and behind me or to my left and to my right. It all sounds the same and leaves me quickly rotating 360 degrees everytime I hear a sound. In windows I could tell EXACTLY where a sound was coming from down to the milimeter. I've been playing AA for over 2 years and am 99.9999999% sure it is not an ingame problem. I've tried ALSA and OSS, both are the same.

I have a Sound Blaster Live! Value
