Age of Empires open source

so I've recently sent an email to Microsoft's customer advocacy team asking about the possibility of releasing Age of Empires 1 under an open source license. Anyone else who wants to show your support for the idea, please email advocate@microsoft.com

I really enjoy the AoE games, and I'd love to see them ported to Linux (though I didn't mention that to Microsoft

They have released open source programs in the (distant) past, and with Gates stepping down they just might be willing to again if enough users request it.
I really don't think they will release AoE's source, but it's such a good game in my opinion and I don't see any harm in asking.

It'll run under Vmware (or Qemu or etc) and I'm pretty sure I got it running under Wine as well.
