Um, I would go with the CVS, as 3.3 is from something like April or so.

...on the other hand: CVS is unstable by definition.

huh huh, sure is, by definition. But if you start reading the 3.3 book, it will talk about getting the latest version of the book, and alot of the info would apply to the latest and greatest versions of the software, and they provide the software anyway.

I guess it really wouldn't be a massive deal if you went with 3.3 but CVS works just fine.

Good Luck! And at worst you will have simply wasted your time if the CVS won't work, but later you find the 3.3 to. But if it does work, then you will have the latest and greatest of LFS working, and can build from there

Again, GOOD LUCK!

I think that if it were the first time you tried lfs, you should try something that will sure install. After that you will go for the better stuff. And lfs isn't for evrybody, you know.

Note: I'm sure like to be able to post an avatar. It sure will cheer up the forums.

This site will most likely never have avatars as they are unattractive, slow the site down....etc. This has been discussed before in the Website Questions and Suggestions.
