what steps to follow when you have to recompile?

After booting into my lfs system, i found out that i forgot to add some options to the kernel for network support.
What are the steps i have to follow to compile it? Do i have to start over from zero??

All you need to do is change into the directory where your kernel directory is located e.g. /usr/src/linux-version and do "make menuconfig". Add the options you want and save your config file. The rest of the steps are the same as those for compiling from scratch.
