using LFS can we produce re distributeable linux os


HI,

Iam

is it possible to produce re distributeable linux os with lfs so i can give my lfs to myf riends they can install on their systems ?

Yes and no. No, following the LFS book strictly won't really result in that, because it doesn't cover that functionality and, honestly, I wouldn't think much of a generic LFS, anyway. However, you can certainly go 'beyond LFS' and even go beyond BLFS and do whatever you want. And, while you're free to redistribute the code and binaries of your system, there are almost certainly legal implications to *calling it* LFS, so I'd look into that.

In a nutshell, no, not by following the book, but yes, if you check the "hints" section of the LFS site, there are a few guides on how to do it.
