the first gcc in CLFS1 do not need the Glibc headers of target?

in CLFS2, to get the first gcc,wo have to install the target Glibc headers first,
while,in CLFS1,before compiling the first cross gcc,do not need the glibc headers,
how can i understand it?
thanks!

Hi,

Both methods are a different approach.

CLFS1 is the current, workable version that should be used.
CLFS2 is a testbed for testing new approaches and not for normal use.

Most of the above is mentioned on CLFS's homepage.

Hope this clears things up a bit.
