Segmentation fault (core dumped) in 6.11 for Dev Release

I am here:
linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/view/development/chapter06/binutils.html

The first command there is what I am having issues with:
expect -c "spawn ls"

At first I kept getting the no more PTYs error, but I fixed that in my host system. Now I run the above command and get this:

root:/source/binutils-2.18# expect -c "spawn ls"
spawn ls
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
root:/source/binutils-2.18#

Any idea what could be wrong?

Hi,

It seems that by fixing the no more ptys error you introduced this one.

I can only guess about what you did to solve the problem........ Maybe this part from the LFS faq will help.
