RPM on LFS?

Can it be done?

So far the dependencies I've installed prior are:

cvs
berkeleydb
libelf
nss-with-nspr
popt
libdwarf

I'm being stopped now by a:

*** No rule to make target `../db3/rep_autop.o`, needed by `rpmdb_printlog` . Stop.

But... berkeleydb is inside of the RPM directory and symlinked to 'db' within that directory per RPM build instructions.

What is this DB3 stuff and why do I need it anyways?

RPM on LFS? Anyone get it yet?

Hi,

There's a LFS Hint about this which might help you: install rpm to be used with LFS

This is an older hint, you (probably) need to update the package versions used.

Hope this helps.
