problem of boot splash on livecd

hi,everyone first please forgive my poor English

I met a problem of boot splash
I am making a livecd from LFS6.0, it uses isolinux to boot the CD
The problem is on some machines the boot splash can be displayed ,and the other can't

I'm not sure if it is problem of monitor or video card
for example, on my pc, the splash can be display
monitor: Great Wall N700DF
video card : Geforce MX 200

on my roommate's pc,it can't be display
monitor:SyncMaster 765MB
video card : Geforce 5200

perhaps I post wrong place, but I need your help

Welcome to LQ!

Perhaps the file you use to set the video driver and resolution
needs to be changed. What resolution are you starting with?
And what do you have in /etc/lilo.conf or grub? Do you use
vga=normal? Which framebuffer do you use? For most comps
you can use vesa framebuffer.

This might not be the answer. Hope it helps.

I use isolinux to boot the livecd,so I don't need lilo or grub
the boot splash file is spash.lss,it's converted from a .gif file by myself
now,I think that maybe the problem
I will try the splash.lss from office LFS livecd
