You do not have textinfo installed. Install texinfo and start with a fresh source. Also, please post the exact commands that you issued before the problem occured.

make problem ,binutils
 
hi all ,its mangesh .
i hav one prblm .plz gv me soln.



on my system textinfo already in newest version.
i m using ubuntu10.4 .
already i had compiled binutils,gcc but due to some problem i have to do that chap 5 again.
but this time when i had started with binutils it wont work.
firstly i extracted binutils package .entered into binutils dir execute command as=
mkdir -v ../binutils-build
then changed to binutils-build dir by==
cd ../binutils-build
then executed command

../binutils-2.20.1/configure \
--target=$LFS_TGT --prefix=/tools \
--disable-nls --disable-werror

then i give command
make.
but one warning and error message are printed .
i here give u last lines ==========

It clearly states above.

===> You don't have makeinfo, you may want to install texinfo.

Please install texinfo, do a make clean, better yet do rm -rf * in the build directory, redo configure, make and make install
