problem in section 8.4

i made two partitions hd5,hd6.hd5 is for swap and hd6 with ext2 file system..therefore i ran the command

root (hd0,5)

it gives the error:

error 21:selected disk does not exist.

i have only one harddisk on my system.what should i do?

Type in
root (hd
then hit tab, it should give you some options as to what you can type.
