Printing Blues (Problems)
Here what I have: One LFS(Linux From Scratch) system with WindowMaker, XFree86 4.1.x, AbiWord & Mozilla. The printer that I have to use for this settup is one HP LaserJet II with I believe 2MB of memory and no Postscript.
What I want to do is be able to print with this printer. I tried using Cups and failed, so it's out!!! What would one of you fine Linuxs users do to get this setup running, excluding buying a new printer (Its not in the budget). |
You can try LPRng and with the use of ghostscript you can print anything you like. Even PostScript files!

Hello sarah_777 and welcome to the beautiful world of Linux
(at least it is for me...) :-) Well usually you need no special program to print postscript files. Just type 'lpr mytest.ps' and it should be printed. That is of course if you have a printer configured in your linux system... |
