[SOLVED] Pkg-config error

Hi
Building on BLFS svn

I'm having problems installing iw-3.3. Package.

I have installed libnl-3.2.3 as a dependecie.
I installed

Code:

./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc

When I run make in iw-3.3 as root or user I get an error,

/bin/sh pkg-config command not found.
Makefile 64 cannot find development files for any supported version of libnl

echo $PKG_CONFIG_PATH =/usr/lib/pkgconfig

Any would be appreciated

Do you have pkg-config installed?

Pkg-config was installed with LFS. /usr/lib/pkgconfig Has got libnl.po in the dir

What if you try to execute pkg-config, does it work or is it not found? Is it really libnl.po in /usr/lib/pkgconfig? It should have a .pc extension.

Thks weibullguy It looks like pkgconfig is'nt installed as I thought ( i,m sure it was done in lfs (6.7) must of been removed)Anyway I can now proceed installing that and push on.
Yes it was libnl.pc in there I was doing it from memory at work.
I will mark as solved when IW-3.3 is installed

There's no where in LFS that would have uninstalled pkg-config. More likely that something went wrong. Hopefully something as simple as you were tired and forgot to execute make install.

No thats not quite it, they used to install pkgconfig in lfs 6.7, but now in lfs 7.0 it has been removed,
And is now done in blfs. I didn,t realise they had removed it now.

Oh, I misunderstood. I thought you meant you had used 6.7 to build LFS.
